Alexander Vandekendelaere (BE) is the winner of the 4th edition of the Kayakcentre Fishing Tournament! After 2 day’s of fishing on the Haringlvliet with restricted area to fish he left everyone behind by managing to get a total of 295CM of fish. In the second place Leo Pegels (NL) finished with 256 CM and Sammy Huygens (BE) finished in third place with 246 CM.
On Friday we waited until the sun has risen at 08.00 and after we have checked and approved the water they went off at 10.00 AM to try to catch the 1 Pike, 3 Perch and 3 Zander they need over 2 days. Luckily fish were caught and TourneyX filled with pictures.
After a hard day of fishing, the anglers were cold and wet so we moved inside for a nice BBQ buffet arranged with Zuidland Slagerij from Dirksland. It was a pleasant evening ended with ice cream.
A bit afraid for what Saturday would bring, but the next morning at 8.00 AM Hobie took the rib out again to check the water. The wind had shifted slightly in direction compared to yesterday—not to our advantage. But with the same restrictions as Friday it would be safe to go out. So with a little sun they left at 9.00 AM. Because we didn’t know Friday if we could go fish another day or not, the standings were frozen and invisible ever since so it was still a surprise for everyone.
After another evening dinner with BBQ of Hamburgers made by Brad Smudzinski it leads us to the prize giving. First, we express our appreciation to all of our helping friends; they rock!
Then the had the Biggest Fish awards: Alexander Vandekendelare – Pike 112CM / Martin Breuer – Zander 69CM / Benedikt Vogt – Perch 41CM. They all received a Navionics by Garmin chart and a Fish-Impact voucher as prize.
